Last week saw Murray and the team setting up the Ace ATV stand at the 2023 Royal Three counties show in Malvern. It was a glorious weekend of sunshine (and showers), as we spent it in our usual position opposite the shearing and livestock sheds.
We had our Corvus Terrain DX4 on hire to the show team from Thursdays set up day through to Sundays pack down. We shared some videos of it in action over the course of the show on our social media pages. Our first day Friday was a busy one of bumping into several existing customers who, after successfully lambing their stock, are now on the lookout for updating their machinery. As a result, we spent it booking in multiple demos & visits around the local area.
Saturday brought more good weather and keen punters. One of the day’s biggest interests was Logic’s CTF250DSK. A 2.5m trailed weed wiper that does an exceptional job of eradicating unwanted vegetation in pastureland with minimal to no damage to the lower grazing & clover. This is achieved by a counter rotating brush coming into contact with the unwanted weeds. The stiff nylon bristles are misted with chemical and ‘scratch’ the underside of the leaves for maximum penetration.
An added incentive for these machines is that the Severn Trent catchment areas are supported by a Grant that can cover up to 50% of their cost. Plus, a government grant (FETF 2023) is available on the weed wiper nationwide.
Sunday was the final day of this year’s show and another one full of customer enquiries. In true British form the biblical rain hit at 3pm, cutting our sales run a little short and making for an eventful afternoon loading up to return to base. With ourselves & the kit fully dried out, its back on the road to deliver all the new vehicles & equipment that was ordered over the weekend!
